In-hole Honing Capacity
Honing is applied on in-hole surfaces to achieve surface and measurement precision after turning. This process is carried out by the chip removal process as a result of the movement of abrasive granular stones attached to the heads of honing machines back and forth with the help of a certain pressure on the hole surfaces of stones.
With this technique, chips up to 0.3mm can be removed from the surface.
Surface roughness can be achieved up to Ra0.02 μm with suitable granular stones and special sanding technique.
The lines formed on the surface after honing process between 20-45 degrees also help for keeping oil on the hydraulic pipe surface.
